1. Head over to the Mothercare website
I love shopping on the Mothercare website, it makes you go all gooey inside. The website itself is easy to shop from, with the categories across the page, or by using the search bar where you can enter either a catalogue number or a particular item.
2. Choose the item you want to buy
Once you have found the item you wish to purchase, I have gone for the Maxi-Cosi Car Seat, which is great for babies and extremely popular, now click on the item and it will open in to a new page with a fuller description of the product. Now enter the quantity you need, also decide on size and colour if appropriate. Now click the "Add To Basket" button, which you must press when you have decided to buy.
3. Add further accessories to your basket
We are now at the "Checkout" page where you will be offered any accessories you may need, that goes with the product you have added to the basket. For the car seat they have suggested adding three other items. If you have all you need press "Checkout" to proceed.
4. Now sign in to the Mothercare site
At this point the "Welcome to the Checkout" page will appear, and you now need to add whether you are an "Existing Customer" or a "New Customer". If the latter, you will be asked to create an account, and add details asked for. It is a great idea to open an account, as you will have less information to add, when you shop again.
5. Add your delivery address details
If opening a new account you will be asked to "Choose Your Delivery Address", or if you prefer you can collect from a Mothercare store.
6. Decide on delivery method and add
Next is the "Delivery Option Selection", once chosen click "Continue.
7. Decide on payment choice and add
The "Select A Payment Method" screen will appear for you to complete your details, at this point if you wish, you can sign up to receive email alerts regarding special offers and seasonal information. It can be useful to find out early what is new to the market.
8. Enter your discount code to save money
The "Review and Place Your Order" page, is where you can check all the details of your purchase, also your delivery address. Best of all you can add your discount code in the "Promotional Code" box, but do not forget to press the "Apply" button to see the "Order Total" reduce. A confirmation email will be sent to you regarding your forthcoming order. Remember if you do have more than one item to buy it is usually just one delivery charge to pay for one order, so do not checkout until you are ready to do so.
